Taylor victorious in Carezza

Jaz Taylor maintained a 100% podium record in the third Telemark World Cup of the season

Defending Telemark Crystal Globe holder, Jaz Taylor, banked her third World Cup podium and second victory of the season at yesterday’s Carezza Sprint World Cup race.

Having taking first and third places in the season’s opening two Sprint World Cups in Pinzolo before Christmas, Taylor’s rich vein of form continued in Carezza as she saw off Laly Chaucheprat of France and the Norwegian Goril Strom Eriksen by a margin of 3.54 and 3.66 seconds respectively.

Taylor’s latest finish means she has podiumed in fourteen of her last fifteen Sprint World Cup races, dating back to February 2023, with her only non-podium finish in that time coming with a fourth place result in Al in February of last year.

The result puts Taylor in a strong position as she fights to defend the dual Crystal Globes that she picked up in 2023/24, with one more Sprint World Cup race in Carezza today before the Telemark tour moves on to the Swiss resort of Melchsee-Frutt at the end of January with Sprint and Parallel Sprint races.
