Summer circuit shows depth of British Alpine talent

Alpine Squad members land 12 podiums with more Southern Hemisphere racing to come

The depth of Britain’s next generation of Alpine talent has been on full display this summer with a slew of podiums from 2026/27 squad members over the past month.

In race series held across the Southern Hemisphere during August and September, British Alpine skiers have delivered 12 podiums including three victories and a potentially unprecedented British 1-2-3 in New Zealand.

Development Squad member Lewis Parton got the ball rolling in Chile with third place in El Colorado FIS Giant Slalom in August, before a burst of New Zealand race podiums saw Molly Butler, Victoria Palla, and Freddy, Luca, and Zak Carrick-Smith all feature on podiums in races held in August and September, including five National Championships podiums in the first two days of September.

With more racing to come before the European season gets underway next month, British athletes are once again setting new standards at the top of international snowsport.
