Atkin third in first World Cup of season

Atkin takes brilliant bronze in Copper Mountain

Zoe Atkin marked her first World Cup appearance of the season with an excellent third place at Copper Mountain Halfpipe World Cup. The performance, which gave Atkin her fourth career World Cup podium, was built on an outstanding first run in which she banked a score of 91.00 from the judges, to leave her second in the standings behind China’s Eileen Gu.

While Atkin was nudged into third by American talent Hanna Faulhaber’s second run score of 92.00, the result still marks another excellent performance from the 20-year-old Brit, whose superb 2022-23 season included X Games Gold and World Championships silver medals, alongside another podium in her sole World Cup appearance of the season.

Zoe said:

“I’m super excited to be back on the podium at my first World Cup this season! It’s great to be back on snow, and I’m really looking forward to some training time before X Games and the rest of the World Cup tour!”
