Taylor Sprints to Gold in Krvavec

Back-to-back podiums for Telemark World Cup leader

Jaz Taylor added a second Telemark podium in two days with victory at the Krvavec Sprint World Cup this morning.

Having finished second to Argeline Tan Bouquet in yesterday’s races, Taylor turned the table on the French racer taking victory by a margin of 1.50s in the Slovenian resort, extending her leads in the Overall and Sprint World Cup standings in the process.

A 1:10.81s first run gave Taylor a margin of more than 2s against the rest of the field, ensuring Tan Bouquet’s field-leading second was insufficient to overtake Taylor, whose defence of last season’s Sprint and Overall Crystal Globes continues with 13 of 20 World Cup races complete.

Taylor’s season record now reads four victories and four further podiums as she looks to extend her record as the most successful British World Cup skier in history.
