Bankes and NIghtingale awarded 2026 Pery Medal

Britain’s first ever Olympic gold medallists on snow honoured by Ski Club of Great Britain

Britain’s first ever snowsport Olympic gold medal winners, Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale, have been named recipients of the 2026 Pery Medal by Ski Club of Great Britain.

The award, which was first established in 1929, is awarded for exceptional achievements and a lasting impact on snowsport, and was awarded to Charlotte and Huw following their history-making exploits at the Milano-Cortina Olympic Winter Games in February.

Charlotte and Huw’s receipt of the award continues a proud track record of GB Snowsport athletes and coaches who have been recognised in this way by Ski Club of Great Britain, following on from luminaries including Jaz Taylor (2024), Dave Ryding (2023), and Pat Sharples (2013).
