Taylor retains Overall Telemark Globe to close electrifying season

31-year-old ends season with three Globes and two World championships medals

Jasmin Taylor’s remarkable defence of the Telemark World Cup title she secured last season ended in success as she claimed an incredible third Crystal Globe in three days on the final day of the 2024/25 Telemark World Cup season.

Having confirmed the Classic and Sprint Globes in the first two days of World Cup Finals actions in Thyon, Taylor was crowned Overall champion on the back of a season which saw her deliver twelve World Cup podiums including six victories. In the final standings, Taylor stood 75 points clear of her nearest rival, France’s Argeline Tan Bouquet, and more than 200 points ahead of Augustine Carliez in third place.

Taylor’s first podium of the season came in the opening World Cup Sprint race in PInzolo on 20 December, and it wasn’t until the sixth World Cup contest of the season, more than a month later, that her first non-podium position arrived, by which point the defending champion had built up a lead which would prove insurmountable at the head of the standings.

Having achieved history last season as Britain’s first ever Telemark Crystal Globe winner, Taylor has now attained sporting immortality with five Globes across two seasons confirming her status as one of Britain’s greatest ever winter sport athletes.
