Rothney secures fifth British snowsport podium in Bakuriani

Freestyle Snowboard star delivers on final jump to seal Big Air gold

Emily Rothney made it five British snowsport medals at EYOF 2025 with a superb performance in the Freestyle Snowboard Big Air contest.

Sitting second after the first jump, Rothney’s second effort left her trailing in the standings, before an outstanding third attempt pushed her to the top of the standings with an overall score of 156.75.

The 16-year-old snowboard sensation now holds podiums at EYOF, World Junior Championships, Europa Cup, and Junior levels, and has helped push Britain to fourth place in the EYOF 2025 medal table behind only the traditional snowsport powerhouses of France, Italy, and Switzerland.
