Return of GB Alpine Championships confirmed

GB Snowsport are delighted to confirm the return of the GB Alpine Championships next month

After a two-year covid-enforced hiatus, the GB Alpine Championships will return next month with two weeks of competition featuring some of the finest Alpine skiers in the world.

A packed race calendar will see the Senior and Junior Championships take place from 27 March to 3 April, with the Children’s Championships sponsored by Crystal following from 4 – 8 April. As in previous years, both Championships will be held at the event’s traditional home in Tignes, France.

The last Championships held in 2019 saw Alex Tilley (Women’s Giant Slalom), Cara Brown (Women’s Downhill), Alexis Brondex (Men’s Giant Slalom), Theo Letitre (Men’s Slalom), Adur Etxezarreta (Men’s Downhill), Lucas Perrier (Men’s Super G), Lara Bertholin (Women’s Super G) and Marjolein Decroix (Women’s Slalom) walk away with victories in the Senior National Championship races, with Tilley and Etxezarreta each having gone on to represent their countries in the Beijing Olympic Winter Games this month.

Meanwhile current British World Cup squad members with podium success at previous British Alpine Championships include Dave Ryding, Charlie Guest, Charlie Raposo, and Laurie Taylor
