  • Biography // Laurie Taylor began ski racing at the age of nine on the dry slopes of Aldershot before moving onto snow with the British Ski Academy in Les Houches, France for ten years. During this period, his family relocated to New Zealand, where he also trained with the Queenstown Alpine Ski Team during the Southern Hemisphere winters. Taylor has established himself as one of Great Britain’s leading alpine skiers, following a breakthrough 2025/26 campaign. The two-time Olympian achieved a career-best 4th place finish at the World Cup Slalom in Levi and became the fifth British alpine racer in history to qualify for the World Cup Finals. Taylor has represented Great Britain at multiple World Championships and Olympic Winter Games including Milan-Cortina 2026 and PyeongChang 2018, where he achieved 5th place in the Mixed Team Parallel.
