Brookes goes big in Beijing, Kenworthy third in Snow League
A huge day for British Freestyle athletes yielded World Cup victory for Mia Brookes and an immediate podium on Gus Kenworthy's return to competition
Mia Brookes has taken the Overall Snowboard Park & Pipe title after the cancellation of the Finals of the Absolut Park Slopestyle World Cup this morning.
In a sensational season, Brookes has delivered seven World Cup podiums including victories in Beijing, Klagenfurt, and Laax, with three top-3 finishes in the Big Air discipline and four in Slopestyle, confirming her strength across both World Cup disciplines.
Brookes’ title was secured with 500 World Cup points, a margin of 35 clear of Japan’s Mari Fukada in second, while New Zealander Zoi Sadowski-Synott claimed third with 436 points.
