Gold for Bankes in Beidahu

Dominant showing secures first World Cup podium of season

Charlotte Bankes secured her first World Cup victory of the season at the second stage of the 2024/25 Snowboard Cross World Cup circuit in Beidahu.

Having qualified for the knock-out stages in first position, Bankes was dominant throughout the day’s races, finishing first at the Quarter and Semi Final stages before executing a perfect race in the Big Final to come through in the final split to take Gold.

Up against Michela Moioli (ITA), Lea Casta (FRA), and Pia Zerkhold (AUT), Bankes demonstrated outstanding speed and racing instinct to take the 22nd World Cup victory of her storied career, and her second in China following a Silver medal winning performance in Secret Garden in 2021.
