Further update on UK Sport proposals
We are concerned, but sadly not surprised, by the latest announcement from UK Sport
“We are concerned by today’s announcement from UK Sport and its timing. Sadly, we are also not entirely surprised.
“GB Snowsport have been in active and, we believed, on-going discussions with UK Sport.
“Recently, we clearly set out our actions on good governance, showed proof of sound financial decisions and engaged in their Representation and Appeal processes.
“Now, UK Sport’s public confirmation of their intention to route funding through Sport Org (as UK Sport informed us in June 2025 was their assumed route of investment for snowsport for the 2030 French Alps cycle) while we are engaged in agreed formal processes to challenge the decision to bypass GB Snowsport, is difficult to understand.
“It remains our hope and intention to continue to engage with UK Sport, as well as talking with other relevant parties across sport, to ensure any processes relating to the French Alps 2030 cycle reach the right resolution for our athletes, disciplines, and wider sport and continued British success.”
