Katie started skiing at the age of 5 on a golf course in Nethy Bridge, from there progressed to the slopes of Cairngorm Mountain and joined the Scottish Ski club. Following in her sister’s (Charlie Guest) footsteps, Katie competed individually until 2015. During this time, she picked up some national titles whilst selected for both the Scottish and British national ski teams.

Following two seasons spent at Killington Mountain School in Vermont, Katie decided to retire the boots and start at Newcastle University. However, this did not last long, and she stepped in to guide Millie Knight for a week’s camp at Wittenberg. She loved this experience and quickly agreed to become Millie’s reserve guide for the following 4 seasons, accompanying her on camps when Brett was injured. During this time, Katie also guided Darcy Werner and together won both SL and GS titles at the British Para Championships in 2019.

Currently, Katie is full time with the team and with the support of Robert Gordons University, continuing her master’s degree of pre-registration physiotherapy.
