Steven Seligmann, British Shooting Performance Director, appointed to board of GB Snowsport

Steven will bring significant high-performance expertise in his role of Independent Non-Executive Director

GB Snowsport are delighted to confirm the appointment of Steven Seligmann, Performance Director for British Shooting, as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Steven’s appointment fills a vacancy left following the departure of longstanding Director Richard Leman from the board earlier this year.

As Performance Director for British Shooting since 2014, Steven has played an integral role in the transformation of Olympic and Paralympic Shooting in Great Britain over the last decade, and will use his extensive experience of British and global high-performance systems to provide counsel and guidance as GB Snowsport looks to build on last season’s remarkable results and performances.

An experienced leader, coach and coach educator in his own right, Steven’s 20-year track record with British Shooting, the England & Wales Cricket Board, and Cricket Scotland will bring significant expertise of the inner workings of elite sport environments to the GB Snowsport board, as well as providing meaningful support to Head Coach Pat Sharples and Head of Sport Sciences and Medicine Kearnan Myall.

Commenting on his appointment, Steven said:

“The British high-performance system is an environment I know very well, and I have every confidence that GB Snowsport will continue to grow and thrive within it alongside UK Sport, FIS, and everyone involved in supporting British snowsport athletes’ performances at the highest levels.”
