Pat Sharples shortlisted for Coach of the Year Award

GB Snowsport Head Coach, Pat Sharples, one of three on Coach Award shortlist at UK Sport PLx Awards

We’re delighted that GB Snowsport Head Coach, Pat Sharples, has been named on a three-person shortlist for the Coach Award at the 2023 UK Sport PLx Awards.

Developed by UK Sport to recognise the outstanding achievements of those who contribute to making extraordinary sporting moments happen, the Coach Award recognises a current coach in the British high-performance system who has challenged themselves to achieve exceptional and inspiring performances in the past year.

As Head Coach, Pat directly oversaw the performance planning and delivery which led to GB Snowsport athletes delivering the best season in British history, with 50 World Cup, World Championships, and X Games podiums representing every discipline under the jurisdiction of GB Snowsport.

Pat joins British Triathlon’s Adam Elliott, and Modern Pentathlon’s Jabeena Marlin on a three-person shortlist, with the results to be announced on Tuesday evening.
