Gerken Schofield and Jeannesson selected to represent GB in Moguls for 2025/26 season

Gerken Schofield and Jeannesson selected to represent GB in Moguls for 2025/26 season

Olympic hopefuls selected to World Cup squad

Makayla Gerken Schofield and Mateo Jeannesson will make up a two-person British Moguls World Cup squad for the coming season, following selection meetings earlier this month.

The pair, who have between them delivered some of the best British Moguls performances in history over recent seasons, are set to compete on the World Cup circuit for their eighth (Gerken Schofield) and sixth (Jeannesson) seasons respectively before attention turns to the Milan-Cortina Olympic Winter Games in 2026, with both athletes currently on track to qualify for the Games.

The squad marks a slimmed down selection for British Moguls athletes compared to recent seasons following the retirement of Beijing 2022 Olympian Will Feneley at the end of the 2024/25 season, and 18-year-old Cali Carr’s decision to step away from competition for the coming season after two years on the World Cup circuit.

GB Snowsport Performance Director, Kearnan Myall, said:

Makayla and Mateo are both extremely exciting athletes who have shown over recent years their ability to hold their own against the world’s top Moguls skiers, and we look forward to seeing both continue their World Cup squad journey in the coming season.

“We’d like to extent a heartfelt thank you to Will Feneley, who is stepping away from World Cup competition after several years representing Great Britain at the highest level in Moguls. Will has competed with passion and professionalism across multiple seasons, and his commitment and dedication to Moguls skiing should be warmly recognised.

“We also wish Cali Carr the very best as she works to pursue her academic endeavours.“

Makayla and Mateo are set to get their 2025/26 World Cup campaigns underway in Ruka, Finland, on 3-8 December 2025.
