Ski and Snowboard Freeride disciplines set to make Olympic debut in French Alps Games
We are pleased to see confirmation from the IOC that Freeride skiing and snowboarding is to be included in the Olympic Winter Games programme for the 2030 French Alps Games.
This is an exciting moment for a sport which has seen British riders demonstrate increasingly strong credentials on the world stage in recent years, and represents another exciting opportunity to demonstrate to the British public the capability of British skiers and snowboarders to compete at the very highest levels of international winter sport.
We will be working closely with all domestic and international stakeholders in the coming months and years to map out the potential pathway to the 2030 Olympic Games for British athletes with the intention of enabling a genuinely medal-competitive delegation to compete in the sport’s Olympic Winter Games debut.
