Cross-Country squad deliver summer podiums at Blink Festival

Andrew Musgrave and James Clugnet impress at Elite Rollerski event

Cross-Country World Cup Squad members Andrew Musgrave and James Clugnet brought their skills to bear on the summer hills of Norway with a brace of podiums at Blink Festival 2024.

Musgrave, racing in the Classic discipline, stormed to victory with a margin of 22.2 seconds on second placed Erik Sverdrup Augral, while Clugnet took a superb silver medal in the Sprint discipline, just 0.4s behind Einar Hedegart of Norway.

The event, which brings some of the world’s best Cross-Country and Biathlon athletes together during the pre-season period, has long attracted a high-quality field, with a competition calendar which showcases the speed, physical endurance, and skill of the best international Nordic athletes.

The British World Cup team has traditionally used the Blink Festival races as part of a summer training and competition preparation calendar, with Musgrave and Clugnet joined at the Festival this year by Gabe Gledhill and Joe Davies.
