Brookes takes sixth season World Cup podium with bronze in Aspen

Teenager secures third slopestyle medal of season in Colorado

Mia Brookes has just taken Bronze at the Aspen World Cup in Snowboard Slopestyle.

A tightly-contested Final had Brookes sitting in second after the first run with a score of 74.70, before she was overhauled by Kokomo Murase’s 79.00, with Zoe Sadowski-Synott subsequently scoring a huge 87.80 to take victory.

Brookes’ medal winning first run featured her trademark excellent rail work in the top section, with a bottom section comprising the frontside 7, backside 9, and cab 10 stalefish to close the run.

The result gives Brookes her sixth World Cup podium of the season, and her third in Slopestyle, and means she now has ten career World Cup podiums since taking her first in January 2023.

Brookes will return to action for the Aspen Big Air World Cup, with qualifiers scheduled for Wednesday 5 February.
