Brookes seals Big Air Crystal Globe with Copper Mountain Podium

Mia Brookes’ stunning season saw her clench the Big Air Crystal Globe after yet another World cup podium

Mia Brookes closed out the 2023/24 Freestyle Snowboard Big Air season with third place in the Copper Mountain World Cup tonight, a result which saw her seal the 2023/24 Big Air Crystal Globe.

Mia’s third World Cup podium in four World Cup competitions this season saw her finish behind Japanese riders Kokomo Murase and Mari Fukada, but crucially ahead of her closest rival for the Crystal Globe, Reira Iwabuchi.

Speaking afterwards, Mia said:

“I’m really happy to have won the Big Air Crystal Globe – I’ve been planning on this achievement since the start of the tour this year, and to finish it off with a podium is so special! Excited for Slopestyle season to start soon after Christmas!”

Ben Kinnear, Freestyle Snowboard Coach, said:

Mia has ridden so consistently this BA season and podiumed at 3 out of 4 events and landed her runs at all 4 events. Her ability to put down these tricks across all these different venues and jumps over the last few weeks mean this Crystal Globe is very well deserved!
