Charlotte Bankes secured her second Gold medal of the weekend in another superb showing in China
Charlotte Bankes sealed her dominance of the Beidahu Snowboard Cross World Cup races with her second Gold medal winning performance in two days.
Racing in the same dominant form which secured victory yesterday, Bankes once again took first place in both her Quarter and Semi-final races, before taking the lead out of the gate in the Big Final, a position which she never relinquished.
Bankes’ victory came ahead of Australia’s Josie Baff in second place, with Sine Siegenthaler of Switzerland in third, and Italian racer Michela Moioli in fourth. The result marks Bankes’ eighth podium in her last ten World Cup races, with six of those resulting in Gold medal winning performances.
The Snowboard Cross World Cup circuit continues in Cortina d’Ampezzo on 14-15 February.
