Born to a Swedish mother and an English father, Vilma moved from Bournemouth to the French alps at a young age. She first learnt to ski at 2 years old, before picking up her first pair of telemark skis at 4. After competing for her local club in Samoëns, she joined the British team this year, and, at just 18 years old, is looking forward to a bright future in the sport.
