Earlier this month, in training for the Steinach World Cup, Menna Fitzpatrick sustained a knee injury which ruled her out of the full programme of pre-Christmas races. Following a series of scans and on-going consultations with our medical team, the decision has been made for Menna to undergo a period of targeted rehabilitation over the coming weeks which will keep her off snow throughout January.
With her rehabilitation programme already underway, the team’s intention is to support Menna to achieve a phased return to snow in time for her to be ready to qualify for and compete at the Milan-Cortina Paralympic Winter Games in March.
‘I am working hard on rehab and it is going well -
we are optimistic that I will be fit and ready to make the second round of nominations and look forward to hopefully be competing at Cortina winter paralympic games with Katie Guest as my Guide’ - Menna Fitzpatrick
