Oliver Alexander Wadahl Sweetman was born in Norway and spent his early childhood in Fulham and Wimbledon, London, where he lived until the age of five before moving to Oslo, Norway, where he lives today. With a Norwegian mother and a British father, he has grown up with strong connections to both cultures. From an early age, he developed a passion for sport and outdoor activities. He took his first Nordic skiing trip at just 17 months old and has been active in a wide range of sports ever since.

Over the years, Oliver has participated in football, tennis, bandy, sailing, athletics, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon, gymnastics, and hip-hop dance. This broad sporting background has helped him develop versatility, discipline, and a strong competitive spirit. Today, Oliver remains particularly passionate about cross-country skiing and biathlon, while also taking part in athletics from time to time.

Beyond organised sport, Oliver is an enthusiastic skier with a particular passion for alpine skiing and ski touring in the mountains. He also enjoys playing tennis and spending time on the golf course during the summer season. Alongside his love for sports, he enjoys building things and takes particular pride in the ongoing pursuit of creating the perfect lawn. Whether competing, training, exploring the backcountry on touring skis, refining his golf swing, or tackling a new project, he enjoys challenges that require dedication, patience, and attention to detail. He is at his happiest when active outdoors and surrounded by nature.
