Nina fell in love with the mountains at a young age on a family holiday to Switzerland, from that point on, she always had the dream of living in the mountains.

She learnt to snowboard at the age of 13 at Wycombe Summit, the local dry slope and started going on trips abroad with school, friends and her college throughout her teenage years.

At university, Nina joined the snowsports team and started racing on dry slopes around the UK as part of the British University Dry Slope Championships, as well as going on trips with the team.

In October 2018, she joined the GBX Academy programme, which gave her the opportunity to be based in Austria during the last three winter seasons. Last season, Nina was diagnosed with MS. One of the effects from this is nerve damage in her right leg which is what led her to pursue the possibility of being a Para Snowboarder. She was classified in November 2021.

In her first season as a Para Snowboarder, Nina has competed in four Europa Cup Banked Slalom races, finishing 4th, 2nd (twice) and 1st. Before Christmas, she went on to make her World Cup debut finishing 8th and was then selected to represent Great Britain for the Para Snow Sports World Championships in Lillehammer in January 2022, where she finished in 6th place in the Dual Banked Slalom after a
head to head race against the reigning World Champion.

When she is not snowboarding, Nina works as a music teacher, volunteers as a scout leader and coaches kids in pedal car racing.
