  • Biography // Max started skiing from a young age on family holidays, where he quickly developed a passion for the sport through the end-of-week races. Wanting to pursue skiing more seriously, he firstly started at the DHO (Downhill Only Club) and then joined the British Ski Academy (BSA) at nine years old. Throughout his childhood, Max was in the English Alpine Squad while also representing Great Britain at international races. During these years, he developed a strong passion for the speed disciplines of Super-G and Downhill, which would later became his primary focus. Following his time at BSA, Max joined Apex2100 before returning to the UK to complete his education, continuing to train and race Excel during Covid and then later with Ambition Racing. After finishing his studies, he rejoined Apex2100 to fully commit to the speed disciplines, where he has continued to progress and establish himself as one of Britain’s leading young speed skiers. Max has represented Great Britain at two FIS World Junior Championships, first in St. Anton am Arlberg, Austria, and later in Tarvisio, Italy. Competing against the world’s best junior athletes further strengthened his ambition to succeed at the highest level in the sport. This season, Max will race on the Europa Cup circuit in Super-G and Downhill, with ambitions of starting World Cups and qualifying for World Championships. After his anticipated World Cup debut in Courchevel last season was cancelled, his ambition is to progress onto the World Cup circuit and represent Great Britain at the highest level.
