Liam was born in 2008 in Zurich to British parents and started skiing in Laax at the age of 2. By 4 years old he was already hitting boxes and small jumps, chasing his older brothers around the mountain.
After a short period living in Singapore, Liam moved to Auckland, New Zealand, where he skied regularly at the indoor slope, Snowplanet. It was here that he did his first backflip, aged 7. His family also spent time at Cardrona and Liam’s first competition in the halfpipe was part of the NZ Freestyle Nationals when he was 8. At 10, Liam was NZ National Slopestyle and Halfpipe champion and at 11 years old he won the USASA Nationals slopestyle. Liam continued to improve, podiuming at multiple age category slopestyle and halfpipe events in New Zealand and skiing regularly at Cardrona, in Europe and North America.
With a Junior Worlds under his belt at just 14yrs old, narrowly missing finals in Big Air, and having finished 7th in Halfpipe at Youth Olympics aged 16, Liam is now focusing on the Halfpipe. He has spent the last few winters training in Canada and competing in the USA, Canada and Europe. He entered his first World Cup in Calgary in 2024 and qualified for his first World Cup finals in Calgary in 2025, contributing to an overall top 20 FIS world ranking by the end of the season. Returning to his roots, Liam is excited to be member of the Great Britain World Cup team.
