Having achieved a slew of under-age titles at British Indoor, Championships Ski & Snowboard and The BRITS Championships, Kirsty Muir made the senior ranks stand up and take notice in 2018. At the 2018 BRITS, the then 13-year-old won all three Freeski titles – Big Air, Slopestyle and Halfpipe – against competitors many years her senior.
She went on to be awarded the ‘Spirit of Sarah’ Scholarship by Momentum Camps and the Sarah Burke Foundation, becoming the first athlete outside of North America to win the award which included attendance at their summer freestyle camp in Whistler.
In 2019, Kirsty competed in her first Europa Cup Slopestyle and took home 1st place. She continued a successful season with a 2nd & a 3rd place at the Junior World Championships 2019 in Sweden.
In January 2020 Kirsty took home a silver medal at the Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne, Switzerland, narrowly missing out on gold, with a superb third run in the Freeski Big Air. At the Beijing Olympic Games in 2022, Kirsty had two top 8 finishes in the Big Air (5th) and Slopestyle (8th) competitions.
