- Biography // Movement has always been a part of Gigi’s life - from her earliest experience of skiing as a toddler on a family holiday in France, to her serious passion for competitive racing as a mini, a teen in the school ski team and now in the GB Europa Cup Team. She balanced skiing and her other physical commitments to dance and gymnastics, whilst in full-time education in the UK. Only in her fi rst year FIS did Gigi fi nally attempt to race an entire season and though this was truncated by COVID, ironically it was lockdown and online learning that facilitated her ability to commit to education and sport, and engendered her love of speed - limited races meant she had to try everything! Now one of our few athletes who compete in all four disciplines, Gigi succeeded in winning the overall SAC cup in the 2024/25 season; she has her sights set on results on the Europa Cup tour this year, and is very much hoping that FIS brings back the Alpine Combined!! (Slalom and a speed discipline). All this whilst studying at Cambridge through their online programme.

Farewell to Ski Sunday.
Everyone at GB Snowsport is saddened to hear that Ski Sunday will come to an end after almost 50 years on screen.
A longstanding institution in Britain’s love for skiing and snowboarding, Ski Sunday has been at the heart of celebrating the growth and success of British snowsport for generations, and its role in elevating the profile of the sport in Britain will be sorely missed.
We are deeply and permanently indebted to every member of the Ski Sunday team, from its incredible presenters to its tireless and dedicated production staff, crews, and wider network.

In addition to recent independent assurance of our strong financial governance, GB Snowsport is pleased to have received positive independent and internal broader governance assurance reviews including an Independent Board Governance Report, a positive NSPCC Annual Safeguarding Review, a positive Culture Health Check, and recognition of our compliance with the Code for Sport Governance.
This body of financial and broader governance assurance evidence is consistent with a picture of strong governance within GB Snowsport. UK Sport`s assessment that GB Snowsport is not fit and proper to receive public funding for the French Alps 2030 Cycle on the basis of its governance is at odds with the clear and consistent conclusions evidenced by those independent assurance reviews.
