Alpine Discipline Update – 2024/25 Season

Alpine Discipline Update – 2024/25 Season

GB Snowsport has issued an update on the British Children’s Ski Team, and amendments to Alpine Selection Policies

GB Snowsport Olympic Disciplines Selection Policy 2024/25

The GB Snowsport Olympic Disciplines Selection Policy 2024/5 is now available to view on the GBS website. There have been significant changes, and we advise all athletes and coaches to familiarise themselves with the relevant criteria.

In particular for Alpine athletes, we would encourage athletes to be aware that, as in previous years, athletes wishing to be considered for the Alpine FIS Development Squad must attend the British Championships in order to be able to satisfy Clause B 3.1.1.

If an athlete is unable to attend the British Championships, then they must seek permission in accordance with the procedure laid down in Clause B 3.1.1.  Such permission will only be given in exceptional circumstances.

Please also note that GBS will not enter athletes into any race which takes place during the entirety of the British Championships (FIS).
