Despite only taking up Para Nordic skiing in 2018, Steve is no stranger to the Paralympic Games.
Growing up in Wales as a semi-professional rugby player, Steve had both his legs amputated after contracting meningitis aged 18.
He soon went on to make his Paralympic debut at the 2004 Games in Athens as a member of Great Britain’s sailing team, before trying his hand at sledge hockey just two years later at the 2006 Turin Winter Paralympic Games.
Having competed at a further three summer Games, Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016, Steve retired only to reverse that decision, and start to represent Great Britain in Para Nordic skiing for the first time in December 2018.
Set to compete at his sixth Paralympic Games, Steve will line up in the sprint cross country events.
