Millie Knight burst onto the scene when she carried the British flag at the opening ceremony of the 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympics where she scored two top five results. At the 2015 World Championships, Millie was second in the Giant Slalom and third in the Slalom.
Two years later she became Britain’s first ever alpine World Champion when she won the downhill by over a second in Tarvisio, Italy. She also scored silver medals in the Super Combined, Giant Slalom and Slalom. At the 2018 Paralympic Games, Millie won Great Britain’s first medal in PyeongChang when she was second in the downhill, and she went on to claim a further silver in Super G and a bronze in the slalom.
Millie competes in the visually impaired category having lost most of her vision by age six due to an illness during her childhood.
