Daniel was blown up in Afghanistan in 2008. Having sustained serious injuries to both his legs and his pelvis he was invited on a ski trip to America in 2015 by BLESMA (British Limbless Serviceman’s Association) it was here that he learned to ski for the very first time.
After returning from his trip he knew he wanted to continue skiing so got in touch with AFPST (Armed Forces Para Snowsport Team) it was with this charity that Daniel was able to progress with his skiing and start competing.
Within 4 years he was able to progress from novice to World Cup racer and was selected for the GB para alpine squad for the 2021/22 season.
